Scott Pilgrim VS The World

Thursday, August 12, 2010 by Bea

The game's super cool! Every now and then, we tend to reminisce and find our fave 2D games way back during our cute & weird puberty days. No pun intended.

Here's the game preview with a very catchy tagline:
One man. Seven evil boyfriends. Infinite quarters.

And here's the movie trailer, you'll probably seen Michael Cera in Juno & Year One.

I'll check out the movie, I'm a sucker for comedies and action roll into one. ^_~

Thanks to Mark for reminding me on this one.

Sucker Punch

I like the female species kicking ass!

I never saw any other Emily Browning's movies since Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, however, this will certainly go to my watchlist!

You can watch the trailer here:

New Moon: Interesting New Cast

Sunday, November 22, 2009 by Bea

I may not be a fan of the said first and second movie, however the new casts had definitely took my interest. Once I saw their faces last Friday, that part was one of the few scenes that woke me up from my boredom.

First off, the lovely Dakota Fanning was Jane. She was totally adorable and all grown up for the said movie. I like her outfit too.

Second, Jamie Campbell Bower, the guy who was singing "Joanna" in the Sweeney Todd movie is now Caius in New Moon. Oh by the way, he's also taking part of the next Harry Potter movie. Go figure~

Third, Christopher Heyerdahl took part in the Chronicles of Riddick, and famous in the series "Sanctuary," which I'm also watching in the SciFi channel, is now Marcus in New Moon.

Last, one of my favorite actors, Michael Sheen, ex-husband of Kate Beckinsale, and the famous Lucian of Underworld is now a vampire, Aro. I'd have to laugh, since he was the leader of the Lycans, the werewolves, now the leader of Volturi, the vampires.

Quite a twist in the roles, just sad that they had small parts in the movie. If they had more dialogue and roles soon, the movie may have hope in the future with these kind of actors and actresses.

Odd Moments

Sunday, March 1, 2009 by Bea

OK, the topic may be odd as well, however the series of events that happened in these past few months.

I suddenly don't have the urge to shop that much ever since I'm selling clothes of my own, and thru my Direct Selling sideline. My last item purchased was a pink shirt with a rock-ish logo at the back, and it was on SALE.

Most of my purchases were house items: shoe racks, cabinet, a new computer, and now an airconditioner. I even told my husband to keep the rest of our money in our savings bank.

I became unhealthier these past few weeks, as per my one week of absence due to my high fever and flu - which my mom & mom-in-law thought I'm pregnant - which is not true (but hopefully soon!).

When I went to Davao for the 3rd time, the GE players (like Gemma) approached me and they've all took pictures with me with the "we missed you" phrases. This moment had made me smile. And another one took place in PC Quest, where one of the GE players pointed out and said, "hey, it's CM Veya!" We were all talking about stuff in GE, and I had told them I haven't checked my account since last year, and they were laughing and teasing me that my items and characters are all gone. Waaahhh!!!

I miss Pangasinan - where we always go to during Holy Week - and where our hacienda is located. XD~

I love going out-of-town recently. It makes me feel more relaxed. *sighs*

Oh well, btw, I saw the GI JOE movie trailer, and I suddenly laughed when I remembered my friend saying this will be the next movie (we were talking about movies based on comics, books, cartoons, etc.) to hit the screens. Jeez, he can now open his own Psychic shop. Enjoy~!

Monday, December 15, 2008 by Bea

I just hope these won't disappoint the fans... well, you know, during the vamp thingie rantings for the past few months, and I also wish for the best for the box office ratings for both movies:

And for now, I shall rest my eyes and pocketmoney for the flicks for next year. ^_~

Movie Previews: Angels & Demons

Tuesday, September 23, 2008 by Bea

In 2003, Sony Pictures acquired rights to the "Angels and Demons Movie" along with "The Da Vinci Code" in a deal with author Dan Brown. In May 2006, following the film release of "The Da Vinci Code," Sony hired Oscar winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, who wrote the film adaptation of "The Da Vinci Code," to adapt "Angels and Demons" into a movie. In November 2006, a teaser trailer of the "Angels And Demons Movie" was shown on the "The Da Vinci Code" DVD. On April 11, 2007 it was revealed that Tom Hanks would reprise his role as Robert Langdon and that he will reportedly receive the highest salary ever for an actor - $75,000,000? Filming of "Angels And Demons Movie" began in spring 2008.

"Angels And Demons Movie" is the PREQUEL to "The DaVinci Code."

The "Angels and Demons Movie" tells the story of Robert (Tom Hanks) Langdon's brush with a shadowy secret society, the Illuminati, and his frantic quest for the world's most powerful energy source, in the company of a beautiful Italian physicist whose father, a brilliant physicist, has been murdered.

The trailer is composed of some clips ffrom the previous movie of "DaVinci Code" and a few new ones. However, the title was an official release already, so we all hope this will be a good one to watch & hopefully, not a disappointment to all of the fans of the book. Enjoy~ ^_^

The Gossip Gamer

Saturday, September 6, 2008 by Bea

The Hermione we all have known and loved in Harry Potter movies have turned and blossomed into a beautiful young lady. And here's the latest news of her growing fame and career:

Emma Watson, who plays Hermione in the Harry Potter films, is to replace the Pirates of the Caribbean actor Keira Knightley as the face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle.

Eighteen-year-old Watson has reportedly signed a two-year contract with Chanel worth £3m.
She will replace Knightley when the latter's contract with Coco Mademoiselle runs out this summer. Knightley will remain with Chanel in a new role.

Watson has already developed a close association over recent months with the luxury fashion brand, which has dressed her for film premieres and parties.
Chanel is expected to officially announce the Coco Mademoiselle deal next month.

Warner Bros, which makes the Harry Potter films, is understood to have been involved in approving the deal.
As the face of Coco Mademoiselle, Watson follows in the footsteps of Kate Moss, who was signed up for the fragrance's launch in 2001, and 23-year-old Knightley, who took over in 2007.

Mélanie Thierry
The lady who played Aurora in the movie, "Babylon AD" with Vin Diesel.

She began her ascent to fame as a much sought-after child and teen model in France, then moved into acting. She developed an early screen reputation (and seemed typecast in roles for a considerable period of time) as a siren-like waif with a mesmeric quality that invariably bewitched male characters. (For that reason, more than one source openly compared Thierry to onetime Vadim muse Brigitte Bardot.) She began with a series of roles in French productions that failed to travel abroad and thus confined the actress' recognition to her native country. Not long after, however, the actress scored an international crossover hit at age 18 as the lover of ship-bound Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon 1900 (Tim Roth), who very nearly lures him off of the boat where he resides, in Giuseppe Tornatore's "epic fable" The Legend of 1900 (1998); this arrived back to back with a similar turn as a contemporary Esmerelda in director Patrick Timsit's whimsical Hunchback of Notre Dame update Quasimodo d'El Paris (1999). Thierry shifted gears somewhat as the female lead in the supernatural comedy Jojo la Frite (2002), portrayed an injured teenager in Julien Leclercq's Chrysalis (2007), and made her Hollywood debut as one of two romantic leads of action star Vin Diesel in the sci-fi opus Babylon A.D. Transformers
Revenge of the Fallen
To be released next year. Same cast, so those who loved the sexy Megan Fox and Shia, and of course the faves: Autobots and Decepticons, will surely love the next sequel!
